Having performed my civic duty, now it’s time to focus on where to get the results tonight. Here’s what I have so far:
- Ohio Secretary of State (SOS) (link is to page with results of previous 2005 elections; I expect that a page for tonight will be set up shortly, and will be monitoring–also, here is a possible alternate link)
- Brown County (home page only)
- Clermont County (link is for this specific election)
- Hamilton County (home page only)
- Warren County (link is for this specific election)
These counties do not have BOE web sites, according to the SOS:
- Scioto–Eric The Exceptionally Evolved suggests WNXT Radio in Portsmouth as an info possibility (but only for those who live in the area, since there is no “Listen Live” web link).
- Adams
- Pike
E-mail me if you find a link pages for the counties without sites, or better links for the other counties and the SOS.
BizzyBlog voted for Tom Brinkman today. I will not reveal how the other two eligible household members voted, except that they did not pull the lever for McEwen. BizzyBlog’s mom voted for Eric Minamyer as an absentee (an undisputably fine choice).
I just returned moments ago from a quick revisit to my voting precinct, and the report there was that turnout was in the neighborhood of 15%, which was characterized as near or a bit below expectations.
Folks, when you leave work and vote later today–Do you think Bob McEwen’s contributions from and proven involvement with Amway-Quixtar, which he attempted to conceal from 2nd District Primary voters, should be a factor in your voting decision?
For those who don’t remember some “devilish” history, go here.
Background–Bob McEwen, and his supporters, and his ads, have been referring to him as “Congressman McEwen” throughout the campaign:

I wish these folks had a greater sense of urgency (the e-mail inquiry was sent on May 31; they autoresponded 2 days later promising an answer within 2-3 weeks; I just got this response today, 14 days later). But given who they are, I wouldn’t want to be rude and complain about it (bolds and italics politely added by me):

The Second District GOP primary, which starts in a mere 6-plus hours from the time of this post, will be an ideal voting situation in a far-less-than-ideal election situation.
