#4 I think the answer depends in different parts of the country. The answer in 2nd OH is to be a no-apologies conservative and to make sure to let people know that the opponent isn’t. That gets the turnout.

Nobody should make too much from a special election - but it does hint at the possibility that moderates could do very well in 2006 and 2008.

Some Republicans may not like this - but they can reflection on the fact that Hillary understands the dynamic and will use it to her advantage.

I could use a respite from local politics, and would be quite relieved if the primary next May is very dull locally. Dullness statewide is unlikely, but I’m going to try to abstain (crossing fingers).
