I interpreted the 3 month segment of the agreement primarily as a means of shutting him up and keeping him from bad-mouthing the school. It may also be a way of getting in one more half-decent recruiting class before he goes away, but I doubt that happens. UC's program, given its built-in disadvantages, succeeded more than any other program I can think if, because of one guy's will--Hugs. THAT is a good point. Zimpher stated in her news conference she wants the "bar raised" with respect to the recruitment of athletes. She doesn't like the kind of student-athletes that Coach Huggins has been recruiting. Hmmm, okay...Then as part of his severence he is being retained on the U.C. payroll for 3 months to....help with recruitment?????? The agreement states...."identifying and commenting on potential recruits". So she wants him to help in recruiting for 3 months, but didn't like the "standard" o player he had been recruiting. What's wrong with this picture? One more point.
