2005 Weblog Awards: 5 Days Remain

Filed under: General,News from Other Sites — Tom @ 8:10 pm

HebeClick on the graphic to vote in the Business Category poll (a vote for BizzyBlog would be greatly appreciated).
The list of all nominees in all categories is here–So vote already (one vote allowed every 24 hours).

I am so blown away. This is such a total surprise that I found out about it from Atlas Shrugs 6 hours after the news was released.

The most important rules of voting are these:

  • You may vote once every 24 hours in each poll.
  • After voting in an individual poll you will be locked out from voting again in that poll (on the computer you voted from) for 24 hours.
  • Each poll has its own separate 24 hour lockout control. Voting in, for example, Best Blog will not lock you out of voting in other categories.
  • Polls close December 15, 2005.

So this is a poll where “vote early and vote (somewhat) often” applies.

Anyone who votes for me will have my undying love and affection (but don’t let that stop you).

Congrats and profound gratitude to fellow nominees (and their category nomination) who have somehow found the time to occasionally correspond (in most cases, that means “respond”; apologies if I missed anyone) — Please consider throwing votes their way:
- Instapundit and Michelle Malkin (Best Blog)
- Atlas Shrugs (Best New Blog)
- RedState.org (Best Group Blog)
- Anchoress and Debbie Schlussel (Best Conservative Blog)
- Best of the Web/Taranto, Kaus, and Poor & Stupid
(Best Media/Journalist Blog)
- Patterico and Volokh (Law Blog)
- Club for Growth (Business)
- Willisms (Ecosystem 501-1000)

I am honored to be in the company of these luminaries and all of the other nominees.

Finally, hats off to the Wizbang folks for orchestrating the whole thing. They deserve any and all traffic increases they gain from their work on the awards.

Now, THAT’S an early Christmas present.

  9. Looks like the “big dawgs” are sort of pulling ahead. But it’s not as bad as my category, where two annoying liberal blogs are kicking the rest of us to the curb.

  10. I tried to vote for you, but I got confused by the 2-column ballot and voted for Pat Buchanan instead.
