The McEwen Campaign Continues Its Relentless and Serious Pursuit of “The Issues”

Looking at the field of official candidates, maybe this “Rachel Dratch” is James Constable, the only remaining candidate I haven’t met, in disguise.

Otherwise, how could they be debating those precious “issues” on April 19? Did the invitation to the other (or is it only?) credible challenger Deb Kraus get hung up at the printer’s or lost in the mail?

UPDATE: The page still looks the same as of April 11 at 2 PM.

  1. I did see a story a while back that the sponsoring organization had sent an invite to Rachel Dratch to appear on behalf of Jean Schmidt, since Schmidt wouldn’t show up. I can’t remember where - perhaps a google news search will find it.

  2. #1, I know who Dratch is. My point is that anyone attempting a serious discussion of “the issues” would not still be riding that tired-attempt-at-comedy horse.

Another thing — the McEwenites have said that they don’t want to beat up on Schmidt for her November House floor speech to concentrate on “the issues.” Yet by attempting to get Dratch here and publicizing or wondering about her appearance, that’s exactly what they’re doing.

The last thing these people care about is “the issues.” McEwen and Schmidt are generally so close that it really doesn’t matter. McEwen’s only shot at winning is to drag Schmidt through the mud and hope that others don’t throw enough at them.
