How Long Will It Take the Smithbots to Remove Their Illegal Campaign Signs?
Like these?
Locations: Snider Road overpass, I-71 Northbound and Southbound sides, illegally hung in the overpass’s fence on either side. Note that in the second case, the sign-hanger was too lazy to take down the old sign’s frame and simply put up another when the old one blew away or was damaged.
Answer to the question of this post — Apparently at least as long as it has taken to remove these legal ones (and there are many, many more):
Locations:
- Irwin Simpson Road, just west of Deerfield Shopping Center
- Columbia Road, Warren County, about 1 mile south of Kings Island, southbound side
UPDATE: While on the subject of campaign signs, the Blackwell-Raga folks don’t really plan to keep the signs they put out on the Friday before Primary Election Day up for the next six months, do they?
UPDATE 2: “Legal” is in quotes above because I believe there is a law stating how quickly after an election signs must be removed. I suspect that period is shorter than Day 9 after the election, which is where we are at the moment.

I heard Smith and Co. are already in Winnipeg, Manitoba. They are going to make a run for Prime Minister up there, so that they can at least get the socialized medical care when they are left bloodied by their opponents who are all to easily able to point out that he is a carpetbagging liar.

Matt: LOL
Yep, I pass under Snider every weekday on my way to/from work. This is a question I ask myself each time. As Matt pointed out, they probably had to get the move on so they could setup shop for the PM run.

There is another one that is still up illegally if you are coming off of I-275 Eastbound getting on to Reed Hartman Highway.

Signs of candidates that lost, and in this case never had a chance that stay out past the election have always bothered me as well.

#4, the Smith campaign has taken it to a new level, putting signs on expressway rights of way all over the place, and even putting them, as seen above, into the fencing on expressway overpasses. I have never seen another campaign do so as blatantly as they have in the 30 years I have followed campaigns.

#6, that’s OK on no pictures. I don’t think I would have any bandwidth left if I tried to put up pics of all the Smith signs. :–>

Tom,
From Eastgate Blvd east until the state line, Smith has signs up at about every other intersection. They are STILL there. I take it david is too busy “getting transferred” to his next target, er, I mean place of employment, to take down all the signs he and the bots put up a couple of weekends ago.
