Even the Washinton Times Has Been Sucked into the “Declining Polls” Meme
Here’s the WashTimes headline on Joseph Curl’s article yesterday:
Bush circles the wagons as approval ratings slip
Here’s the polling data, straight from Rasmussen:

Somone’s slip is showing, and it’s not at The White House.

UPDATE: June 4’s number of 41% has been added at the Rasmussen site, and the May detail presented above was taken off. By my math, 41% is still 5 points above the 36% low of May 18.

Here’s a peer review for you. You referenced Rasmussen’s data, whereas the Washington Times used Zogby’s.

I like Rasmussen better. Zobgy’s behind the times, so to speak. :–>

i have always felt that if Bush can stabalize around 44-45% by October 2006 then Republicans can head off disaster at the polls.

Well then be consistent

If you’re saying stick with Rasmussen vs. Zogby in the future, no problem. I lost a lot of faith in Zogby when I saw how they did a poll for Bob McEwen during the congressional campaign around here. The internals were pitiful, as NixGuy noted at the time. Rasmussen tells you up front that they consistently make sure the D-R-I split is consistent, but look at it every once in a while to ensure that it reflects the current mix of the country.
