John Bolton’s Makes News, But Only in Calcutta
John Bolton made an extraordinary speech at the UN on Friday after a resolution condemning Israel passed. It got covered by the press ….. in Calcutta (HTs Democracy Project, Lucianne, Atlas Shrugs).
The WORMs (Worn-Out Reactionary Media, which used to be known to most as the Mainstream Media) wouldn’t want to do anything to make him look good — which is why it has received no notice.
One of the casualties of the weak but definite Dem victory in both houses of Congress on Nov 7 might well be John Bolton’s position as US rep to the UN. That would be a genuine loss to the cause of peace and the upholding of justice in the world. I had been a Voinovich supporter until I saw George cry on the floor of the Senate because John Bolton was going to be appointed to the US seat at the UN. Bolton is a better man than Voinovich and a much better man than any of the Dems. I will hate to see him tossed from his UN position. But if it happens, it will just serve to fire me up to a higher level of intensity for the 2008 elections.

#1, if Bush recess appoints Bolton again, he serves without salary. There is a movement afoot to take up a collection to pay his salary. Malkin has a post on it, but I cannot recall where I saw the details of how that might work or where to send the $:
