Weblog Awards Daily Post (120606)
For those who haven’t gone back to yesterday’s posts, yours truly was, and still is, thrilled to be named a 2006 Weblog Awards finalist in the “Best Business Blog” category Tuesday evening.
Here are the other distinguished blogs in the Business Group of 10: Asymmetrical Information, Club for Growth, Curious Cat Management Improvement Blog, Doing Business in Real Time, Influential Interactive Marketing, KnowHr Bog, Problogger, Reasoned Audacity, and ShopFloor.org.
Special thanks (again) to those who nominated me (Matt at Weapons of Mass Discussion, Puddle Pirate at Brain Shavings, and [update - zheesh] the folks at Pundit Review, whom I inexplicably and unforgivably forgot about until I drafted tomorrow’s post), and of course to the WLA folks for selecting me.
More details on how to stuff the ballot box legally vote as often as possible will apparently be available later today, and this post will be updated and carried forward as that info becomes available. Voting starts Thursday and ends on Friday, Dec. 15.

Tom, that it quite an honor. I plan to vote for you. Is it paper, punch card or an electric ballot? I have friends who know people at Diebold in Canton. Really, good luck and you deserve the nomination as well as the winner’s cup. You worked hard.

#1, Last year they allowed one vote every 24 hours (taken very literally; if you tried to vote 23 hours and 58 minutes after your previous vote, it was prevented). They control it using IP addresses and do post-audits to try to catch anyone who figures out a workaround.
If they take that approach this year, you’ll have nine chances to vote. Based on last year’s results, Club For Growth and Asymmetrical Info will be formidable opponents.

You’ve got my votes :) that’s for sure. In this case, I can really ask people to vote often!
