The net upward revisions for August and July indicate that recent job growth has been pretty strong. The net downward revisions for the year ending March 2007, mean that productivity growth is probably higher than we had previously thought. Good news all around.

I find it amazing that the very same people who demand we allow the US to be flooded with the world's unemployed are the same ones blaming Bush for a bad economy. The MSM is starting to play a new game, as shown by these articles: http://www.tucsoncitizen.com/ss/local/61804.php http://www.azcentral.com/arizonarepublic/news/articles/0826sanctionsimpact08260.html?&wired

Even Fox News carries a short blurb TV spots on the fear mongering of enacting laws to make it illegal for businesses to hire illegals.
Notice how they proclaim the economy will be hurt and the housing market will be affected. What they don't tell you is if the economy does slow down and unemployment actually rises, the illegals have to go home anyway otherwise government expenditures on social benefits will skyrocket. You simply can not raise taxes or deficit spend on social benefits to support the economy. The bottom line is this, the only way you help the poor of this country, it's citizens, is to enforce the laws, make the illegals go home so that those who are entitled to be here can support themselves and be productive members of society. If liberals think that Americans want a welfare state and high taxes, they are delusional.
