Reid on the defensive. I wrote a leter to the editor for several newspapers on this subject. None had the courage to publish my letter. The following open letter was sent to Senator Harry Reid’s Web Site, to express my displeasure with his actions. 21595 County Road 68 Robertsdale, AL 36567 Honorable Harry Reid, Senator, I have just read the letter you sent to Mr. Mays, CEO, Clear Channel, concerning comments of Mr. Rush Limbaugh on the radio. It was signed by 41 misled leaders of our government. I know people in the Senate say bad things about each other and other politicians. This has been bad for the citizens of our country to endure. But, we have come to expect you to lie about each other and to each other. Not that we approve of your actions. In my observation, you have made some bad blunders about our troops and the war on terror. You once said that we have lost the war. How would you feel if you were looking an enemy in the face every day and a key member of your government made such a stupid statement for the press? I am too old to go to war. But, some of the National Guard troops, I helped train, have been committed. I do not appreciate the position of danger you have placed them in with your careless remarks. Please, for the sake of our country, do not run for reelection next term. You could leave now and receive friendly slaps on the back and a big retirement. Sorry you bought into the lie about Rush Limbaugh. The people of this country are not fooled by your actions. Each election, the notorious 41 will have to face this silly letter. You don’t have the power to contact any boss and have someone reprimanded. YOU HAVE JUST HANDED RUSH LIMBAUGH THE SWORD TO KILL YOUR POLITICAL CAREER!!! James J.
