Thanks for the placeholder, Tom. That was very sweet.

Now - let me tell you how I really feel (and McKee has the advantage of having met me at least once, maybe more than that? Sorry - painkiller meds are killing my brain more than my pain): I HATE BEING SICK.

Okay. Back to regular programming.

I agree that the willingness to keep talking appears to be more evident at the ABJ. We've been through this before, Jeff has said several times that he could have and maybe should have sought all of us out. BUT the fact remains that the PD chose to only go to Jeff to lay down the rules, rather than bring us all in and say, we've got a problem, Houston, and then work together to figure it out.

I really, really, really hope the papers figure out a way to tell the politicians and others who have trouble with candor and transparency to just take it on the chin like we bloggers do So.Many.Times. and let freedom ring. It's just nuts - and I have to believe that even the folks in the news industry can see the hypocrisy of it.

Ok - back to my back pain now. When a doctor who is also a close friend tells you that you will not be able to move for 48 hours, you know you are screwed. Thank goodness for my just teenage oldest child.

Tom,

Thanks for the link. I can't believe that we're replaying "wide open" already.

Also, just wanted to say that I appreciate you're holding a spot for WLST - a nice gesture.

For the time being, neither Ben nor Kyle seem to be done with the site. I'm sure it's being figured out what to do. Some of you bloggers are so damn quick to jump to conclusions and bury people/things/ideals. Geez. Calm down. Wait till this dust settles and see where that site is at.
