You don't have to dig too far into the UCC's recent past to see how they actively petitioned President Clinton, and won, clemency for 12 convicted and unremorseful Puuerto Rican terrorists (the FALN) who were responsible for 120 bombings in the 70's and 80's that killed and maimed dozens of people (http://www.ucctruths.com/terrorist.html). There's also the matter of how UCC's national leaders were roundly rebuked by every major Jewish group in the country (http://snipurl.com/23nsh) or the current IRS investigation of the denomination (http://www.ucc.org/news/pdf/lettrirs.pdf). The United Church of Christ deserves more scrutiny - they are not like other churches.
