#1 LB, points are well-taken, but the Beltway isn't a separate ship of state (yet).

Separately, wonder what your opinion is of this in Forbes? The argument seems compelling, and the debate is important. Your experience should give you an informed perspective on this. Alert me if/when you put something up at KO or if/when you want to do or mirror a guest piece here.

It's not even a close contest. Truth be told, what Rendell said was right. My first 12 or so years in the Navy I was single. Then I went to shore duty for a couple years where met my wife. When I went to my next ship it was much more difficult to throw myself 100% into the job when in port. As a single guy I lived on the ship and could work until the job was done. As a married guy you live off the ship and have to go home at some point (or you won't be married for long). World of difference.

In a just world someone would remind Brown of her comments regarding Palin and she would admit that she was hypocritical in her reaction to the two separate cases.
