Remember Lou Pritchett? (He Was Right to Be ‘Scared,’ Wasn’t He?)

Readers probably won’t remember his name from two years ago (I’ll save the links until after the jump), but they’re more likely to remember what he wrote.

The economy-related items contained in the gentleman’s original open letter to President Obama follow:

(original BizzyBlog post; original letter as published at snopes.com)

By Lou Pritchett

Dear President Obama:

You are the thirteenth President under whom I have lived and unlike any of the others, you truly scare me.

… You scare me because you have never run a company or met a payroll.

… You scare me because you want to change America to a European style country where the government sector dominates instead of the private sector.

You scare me because you want to replace our health care system with a government controlled one.

You scare me because you prefer ‘wind mills’ to responsibly capitalizing on our own vast oil, coal and shale reserves.

You scare me because you want to kill the American capitalist goose that lays the golden egg which provides the highest standard of living in the world.

You scare me because you have begun to use ‘extortion’ tactics against certain banks and corporations.

You scare me because your own political party shrinks from challenging you on your wild and irresponsible spending proposals.

… You scare me because you prefer controlling over governing.

While others have sounded more generic alarms in the past, Wynn Resorts’ Steve Wynn and Home Depot co-founder Bernie Marcus are the first high-visibility corporate titans to publicly and directly tie the Fear-Based Economy, which yours truly has been calling the POR (Pelosi-Obama-Reid) Economy for three long, painful years, to Barack Hussein Obama — mmm, mmm, mmm:

As I said at the time of my original post: “God Bless Lou Pritchett.” He had Obama correctly pegged then, and what he wrote has been proven to be even more correct now.

UPDATE: For those who need a reminder, Lou Pritchett was called a raaaaaaaaacist many, many times over for having the nerve to public proclaim his serious concerns.
