Typical married couple earning $50k is going to see $30 less per pay check immediately due to withholding ($780/yr). At $100k it ramps up to $100 taken out of your biweekly paycheck ($2600/yr). And for the bulk of Obama supporters with money at the $200k level that’s $200 per paycheck ($5200/yr). The farther down the economic ladder you go the worse it feels despite the gross amount.
