It is now reported that Nick Meli was an “armed professional” since he is employed by the security company that is contracted by the Clackamas Town Mall. While KGW.com is reporting that he has a CHL, no one else is reporting the same. Thus, this will be covered in the media the same as the church attack in Colorado Springs where Jeanne Assam was constantly referred to as “a former police officer”.
