Latest PJ Media Column (‘Is It Over, and We Just Don’t Know It?’) Went Up Monday Night

Filed under: Lucid Links — Tom @ 12:33 pm

It’s here.

It will go up here at BizzyBlog on Thursday morning (link won’t work until then) after the blackout expires.

For the record, I wrote the column before President Obama’s latest unilateral Obamacare moves: the delay in eliminating so-called “junk” individual plans, and the series of delays and revisions to the employer mandate and other employer plan-related provisions.

  1. As an observer of human nature I note that the arrogant always over play their hand. Liberals by hitching the success of their agenda to the messenger, Barack Obama have doubled down on the bet they are making that this time everyone will be snowed enough by the BS that their grip on power will become universally accepted and permanent. However, like all arrogant people they are deceived by their own seeming short term success not realizing they are walking off the plank. This is why evil seems to come in successive waves, but the wave always breaks. It is evident that this time period is clearly the hour of liberalism and their champion, Barack Obama. However, how long it lasts is the ultimate question and how can we hasten it’s demise.

Barack Obama and his minions will escalate their acts until they meet the limits of their power. The question then is what of you or me as the individual? What do we do in the meantime? I say exploit his arrogance and encourage it because that is his one true weakness. Arrogance not only engenders fear and discouragement but it also engenders disgust. The theme of our resistance should be to evoke disgust at his arrogance. Every act of incompetence is the sum total of a man so arrogant that he will not admit to his failure. E.g. the unilateral delay of the employer mandate in ObamaCare when he could have had bipartisan support to do so last year causing the partial shutdown of government. Obama is doing today what the Republicans called on him to do months ago but for his immense ego…

  2. I would like to point out that ObamaCare in the way that it is funded by taking money from those who are deemed to have and giving it to those who are deemed to have not is the direct institutionalism of slavery. It is one thing for the government to tax and then give money to a preferred chosen group as the tax payers may eventually have redress via the legislature by changing it’s complexion. ObamaCare goes beyond simple taxation, it pits one group of Americans against another via the force of Law by making one group financially benefit from another. That is slavery. ObamaCare is unconstitutional because in reality it is NOT a tax contrary to the defective judgement of the SCOTUS. ObamaCare is the indenturing servitude that forces one person to labor for another with no payment and no free will.

Those who accept the ObamaCare “subsidy” have in effect become “masters” financially benefiting from the forced labor of others. That acceptance to feel entitled to financially benefit at the forced labor of others is the ultimate corruption of America. Our grief over the undoing of Constitutional Law is actually second to the intense sadness we will come to know as more and more Americans begin to feel entitled to forcing others to pay for their support.

  3. But he still hasn’t touched the individual mandate.

  4. #3, that is the point and he never will. The mandate is the legal fetter of slavery binding those who are not politically favored at the behest of those who are. Democrats sold the American People as a slave class to their constituents. ObamaCare is literally the legalization of slavery without the messy intimacy of having to feed, clothe and house the slave.
