Following Obama’s Lead, AP Story on Ukraine Avoids Describing Russian Actions As ‘Invasion’

On Thursday, an impatient Terry Moran at ABC News tweeted the following (HT Twitchy): “Say it: Russia has invaded Ukraine. Any other description is just weasel words.”

Clearly, both President Obama and the folks at the Associated Press, aka the Administration’s Press, haven’t been sympathetic to Moran’s plea, instead opting for “weasel words.” Obama, when directly asked if he “considered today’s escalation in Ukraine an invasion,” wouldn’t characterize it with that word. At AP, a trio of reporters — Dalton Bennett, Jim Heintz, and Raf Casert — also labored mightily to follow their president’s lead in avoiding the “I-word” in a late Thursday story (bolds are mine):

Ukraine accused Russia on Thursday of entering its territory with tanks, artillery and troops, and Western powers said Moscow had “outright lied” about its role and dangerously escalated the conflict.

Russia dismissed the allegations, describing the fighters there as “Russian volunteers.” The Kremlin has repeatedly denied arming and supporting the separatists who have been fighting Ukrainian troops for four months in the gravest crisis between Russia and the West since the end of the Cold War.

NATO said at least 1,000 Russian troops are in Ukraine and later released what it said were satellite photos of Russian self-propelled artillery units moving last week.

Two columns of tanks and other equipment entered southeastern Ukraine at midday, following heavy shelling of the area from Russia that forced overmatched Ukrainian border guards to flee, said Col. Andriy Lysenko, a spokesman for Ukraine’s national security council.

“Russian forces have entered Ukraine,” President Petro Poroshenko said in Kiev, canceling a foreign trip and calling an emergency meeting of his security council.

It appears that most press accounts outside the U.S. are describing the Russian actions as an “invasion.”

Inside the U.S., not so much. Other than ABC’s Moran, the overwhelming preference appears to be opting for “weasel words.”

  1. White House: We’re Not At ‘War’ With ISIS

Think more about what I have been saying, connect the dots. Pay attention, Obama just confirmed the game plan for Iraq and the M.E. We are NOT at war with (Sunni) ISIS because we WANT them to be at war with (Shiite) Iran. This has been the plan all along, that’s why Obama pulled the US troops out in 2011 to make way for the Muslim Civil War. Obama knew and was warned that without the presence of US Troops, the Sunni Radicals would be at the throats of the Shiites. He knew it, he planned it.

It only looks like feckless incompetence IF YOU DON’T KNOW THE PLAN or refuse to believe anyone could act with such depraved indifference. Obama’s actions sans the agenda is incompetence and worse, cowardice in the face of the enemy.

What is the agenda? Total chaos in the M.E. in order to drive up the price of oil to make the Green Scam cost effective. There will be millions dead in the M.E. by the time Obama leaves office in 2016 and Al Gore will be a billionaire. Think about the effect of Obama dithering in the Ukraine, the route of the gas pipe line to Europe. Think bigger than Ukraine’s national sovereignty. It’s all apart of the plan.

The piles of dead bodies Tom… John Holdren, the sustainable maximum population of the Earth. The Holocaust has started, it is here. Yes, it sounds insane but only a sociopath could conceive it and implement it. Bill Ayers contemplated the murders of over 20 million Americans in re-education camps of those who would not go along with his socialist utopia. ISIS murders anyone who doesn’t conform to their brand of religious belief. Obama orchestrated the deaths of over 225,000 people in Libya, Syria and Iraq to date and has shown zero remorse for the effects of HIS policies. It’s paint by numbers, draw the picture by connecting the dots.
