Climate Fund Still Can’t Get Off the Ground

The UN’s Green Climate Fund (GCF) was the one “success” to emerge from the disastrous 2009 Copenhagen climate summit, and as envisioned it would raise funds from wealthy countries to spend on projects that would help poorer countries mitigate and adapt to climate change. The GCF is the singular carrot that helped get the developing world on board with the non-binding deal agreed upon in Paris this past December, but thus far it has failed completely to follow through on its only two tasks: raising money, and then spending it.

The GCF was expected to bring in $100 billion annually, but thus far has only accrued a little over $10 billion. That, however, isn’t the failure that’s making the news today. That’s because the fund is finding it surprisingly difficult to spend the money it’s managed to raise.

    hmm, hmmm, hmmm…

Waiting for some journalist to ask the questions:

    1) What is the annual salary of the board of directors managing this money?

    2) Any annual audit of the fund?

    3) What was the cost of consultant’s fees for recommending these eco-friendly projects?

    4) What is the annual fee of the consultant who will provide oversight of the project?

    5) What brokerage firm will be managing the billions while they are waiting to disburse said funds to the projects?

    6) How much will the brokerage firm make for its management of said funds?

    7) How are projects prioritized?

    8) What does a third world dictator, I mean government, have to demonstrate to get the project done in their country?

    9) Does the so called government in question get to have a veto on the prime contractor for the projects? And is there a percentage quota requirement of the money to go local contractors?

    10) Is their an open bidding process for these projects OR is this from an approved list?

    11) Will Obama or Gore be associated with any of these contractors?

So many questions, so many opportunities for graft…you know liberals, they just love their government funded mandated money. After all, it isn’t stealing when you don’t take it from a specific person.

$100 billion a year is a big draw for the liberals, I mean alternative energy folks.

  2. It appears the attempt to stop the email releases by cutting Assange’s internet access has failed…

Wikileaks Releases Another 3,183 Podesta Emails In Part 10 Of Data Dump; Total Is Now 15,256

And there are now internet rumors it wasn’t the Russians who hacked the DNC, it may have been the NSA! So, do we have a Snowdenesque loose cannon at the NSA exposing dirty Hillary’s secrets? It seems someone or group is fed up with the lies.
