Press Lionizes Michelle Obama’s Hypocritical Critiques of Trump

The press, as would be expected, is swallowing Michelle Obama’s pose as being intensely offended by the alleged offenses of Donald and as a passionate defender of Hillary Clinton, showering praise on her as “Hillary’s secret weapon” at seemingly every turn.

What a crock. Mrs. Obama has directly criticized the Clintons’ conduct as First Family and its matriarch; instead of taking it back, she and her husband Barack have claimed that we couldn’t understand the words she plainly spoke. Her willingness — arguably eagerness — to indulge “musicians” who are among rap’s most notoriously misogynists makes a mockery of her claim that the allegations against Donald Trump have “shaken me to my core in a way that I couldn’t have predicted.” Naturally, the press is completely uninterested in exposing her hypocrisy.

Positivity: A stranger’s selfless gift leads to love

The story, from Frankfurt, Illinois (HT Daryn Kagan):

October 21, 2016, 7:10 PM

There are always a lot of people to thank on a wedding day, but the bride-to-be at a church outside Chicago had one person to thank over all others: a total stranger who made it possible.

Several years ago, out of the blue, 27-year-old Heather Krueger was diagnosed with stage 4 liver disease. Doctors said she had just a few months to live.

“They immediately told me I was going to need a transplant,” Heather said. There was not much time to find a donor.

“By that time I could really feel my body shutting down,” she said.

Enter our hero. Chris Dempsey is a code enforcement officer for the village of Frankfort, Illinois. He said he was in the break room one day when he overheard a guy talking about this woman who needed a liver donor.

“I spent four years in the Marine Corps and learned there never to run away from anything. So I just said to myself, ‘Hey, if I can help, I’m going to help,’” Chris said. …

Donald Trump’s EWTN Interview

Filed under: Taxes & Government — Tom @ 11:56 am

I’d be glad to present Hillary’s interview, but she apparently isn’t interested in talking to EWTN.

Here’s the full Trump interview. I’m not allowing comments here, because getting them is not the point in this instance. The point is for Catholics and other to judge Trump based on his words vs. the other candidates, and react (and vote) accordingly:

Washington D.C., Oct 28, 2016 / 09:28 am

In an exclusive interview on the Eternal Word Television Network, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump appealed to Catholic voters and other voters of faith, saying that his rival Hillary Clinton will be hostile to them.

The interview, conducted by Raymond Arroyo, host of EWTN’s The World Over, aired Oct. 27, in the final days of a contentious election cycle.

During the discussion, Trump said that Clinton is ultimately responsible for recently leaked emails from one of her leading staff members calling for a “revolution” in the Catholic Church. He pledged his commitment to religious freedom and said that Clinton’s remarks towards people of faith have been “terrible,” to the point that if he were Catholic, he would stop talking to other Catholics who voted for her.

Trump also mentioned an experience in his life that he says led to a major pro-life conversion, and touched on his prayer life and favorite saints.

He addressed accusations of sexual assault against him, saying that they are not true, and reiterating his stance that his controversial recorded comments regarding women were “locker-room talk.”

The interview also talked about health care, refugees, and cleared up uncertainty on whether Trump uses the expression “bigly” or “big league.”

The full text of the interview with Raymond Arroyo is below (Note: Italicized text represents Arroyo’s questions, plain text contains Trump’s answers):

Poll Watch: LAT/USC, Trump +2.4; Rasmussen Tied (While Taking Weekend Off); IBD/TIPP, Clinton +4; Others Tightening

Filed under: Taxes & Government — Tom @ 11:17 am

Trump’s 2.4-point lead at the LA Times/USC poll, still within the margin of error, is his largest since October 10. It continues a steady 10-day string of improvements in the past five days, when the poll showed a 1.3-point Clinton lead.

Rasmussen, which is taking the weekend off, had the race in a tie yesterday.

IBD/TIPP now shows Hillary Clinton with a 4-point lead. That should worry Team Trump, given the poll’s historical accuracy.

Oh, and that WaPo/ABC poll which had Clinton at +12 just a five days ago? Now it’s Clinton +2. I would think that this swing proves that the +12 was bogus:

Trump, further, has gone from a 6-point deficit to a 16-point advantage among independents, with more Republican leaners in their ranks.

Oh please. All that means is that they decided they were going to fairly select their independents instead of targeting high-independents who lean left, as explained here.

Hillary’s overall RealClearPolitics lead is now 3.8 points. The six most recent polls have an average of Clinton +2.5, slightly less than their average margin of error.

All of the above presumably includes little or no interviews after the news broke of FBI Director James Comey’s letter to Congress about emails found on Huma Abedin’s and Anthony Weiner’s computer.

Fasten your seat belts.

Press Lets Hillary Take Two Bogus Partisan Shots at Comey, Congress

They can’t help themselves. For Democrats, the Clinton campaign, and presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, everything reflecting negatively on them must be cast in a partisan light — even something as petty as the party affiliation of the congressional addressees of a letter from the FBI.

At yesterday’s press conference, reacting to James Comey’s letter to Congress indicating that the bureau has “learned of the existence of (Hillary Clinton) emails” which he concluded must be reviewed “to determine whether they contain classified information,” Hillary Clinton twice created the impression that the FBI Director had deliberately communicated only with Republican members of the House of Representatives, and had deliberately cut Democrats out of the loop. Her contentions are blatantly false. Of course, the pliant establishment press is not reporting those portions of what Mrs. Clinton said.
