Delusional Politico Pair: Trump Is Building on ‘Obama’s Economic Legacy’

This one’s for the “They can’t possibly believe what they’re writing” file. Thursday morning, Ben White and Nancy Cook at Politico actually claimed that President Donald Trump is building “his 2018 political message by rebranding” predecessor Barack Obama’s “economic legacy.”

No Coincidence: Out-Migration Is Highest in 3 Deep-Blue States Complaining the Loudest About Tax Law

Early Thursday afternoon, Brad Wilmouth at NewsBusters posted on clueless Alysin Camerota’s morning interview of New York Governor Andrew Cuomo on CNN. After Cuomo whined about the new federal tax law’s $10,000 limitation — not an “elimination,” as he falsely claimed — on state and local tax deductibility, he contended that New York and California are the nation’s “economic engines.” There is some truth in that, but how long can that continue if so many productive people continue to leave those two states?

Though teenagers suffer a historically bad rap for being self-absorbed, one thoughtful group of Michigan high schoolers made a point to applaud someone special this holiday: their hardworking school janitor.

On Dec. 21, Garden City High School student Kenna Hermanson, Andrew Cortes, Summer Dyer and Lexi Horvath presented custodian Brian Junk with a Christmas gift, ClickonDetroit reports, but it’s his reaction that is getting all the attention.

“This is for you, you always go above and beyond for us, and you’re always happy and we just wanted to give you something,” Cortes says in a video of the surprise that has since gone viral on Facebook. “You guys are gonna make me cry,” a shocked Junk says as he hugs the students and exclaims in delight as he unwraps a new pair of work boots.

“Thank you! I need some really bad, too, look what I’m wearing,” Junk laughs, pointing to a pair of worn sneakers. “Thank you for your hard work,” a student chimes in, “No, thank you for being you guys,” Junk says in the clip, which has since been viewed over 95,000 times.

According to Hometown Life, Junk has served as custodial supervisor at the Garden City High School for nearly eight ears, and is beloved amongst the 1,200 students and fellow staff alike. …

Meet the Press Panelist: Establishment Media’s Reputation Went ‘Way Up’ in 2017

On Sunday’ episode of Meet the Press, it seemed, as he introduced a discussion about the establishment media’s reputation as the end of 2017 approaches, that host Chuck Todd did not expect two of his panelists to try to pretend that the press’s execrable year was actually one during which its reputation went “way up.” But that’s what Hal Boedeker, the Orlando Sentinel’s “TV Guy,” believes (or claimed to believe), as did NBC’s own Claire Atkinson, who cited online subscription growth as her “evidence.” To anyone in touch with the real world, their statements constitute the comedy gold of cluelessness.
