AP Reporter Bitterly Rips Amazon As Seattle’s ‘Head Tax’ Faces Repeal

Seattle’s $275-per-employee “Head Tax” (EHT), which was to be levied against every business with over $20 million in revenue, was on track towards repeal Tuesday. City leaders’ abrupt course reversal occurred when it became obvious that a repeal effort would gather far more than enough signatures to qualify for the November ballot. In an Associated Press dispatch released at roughly 1 p.m. ET Tuesday, Amazon-obsessed reporter Phuong Le was extraordinarily bitter and hostile over these developments

Positivity: Satanist loses legal challenge to strip ‘In God We Trust’ from currency

A U.S. appellate court has ruled against a self-described Satanist from Chicago who had filed a lawsuit seeking to remove the motto “In God We Trust” from U.S. currency.

The ruling, released May 31, found that “a reasonable observer would not perceive the motto on currency as a religious endorsement.”
