  1. JAMA 6-22-18 “Association of Chronic Opioid Use With Presidential Voting Patterns in US Counties in 2016″ Of course, more likely to vote for Trump. It was pointed out by commenters that perhaps when there is desperation around you, you vote for change. In addition, it was not individually correlated. So the heroin addict son might vote for Hillary, but the appalled parents may vote for Trump, thus making the county total Trump, and percentage opioid use look elevated, but the addict went to the Dem side.
    But more importantly, the study WAS DONE, and published, which shows the extent of TDS.

  3. Actually, the study clearly indicates that people voted for Trump BECAUSE he promised to seal the border in the belief that doing so would greatly limit the amount of illegal drugs flowing through it and thereby address the Heroin overdoses.

    This shows that the general public in those areas were fed up with the effects of Democrats and Never Trumper policy nonsense of open borders. It’s only the conclusions of the researcher’s that need to be adjusted/revised.
