  1. One article called his case a “tragedy.” Tragedy is when a good person seems to have a tragic flaw that brings him/her down. This man has flaws too numerous to count. Ambition seems to have been his motivation, and service to constituents was only a foothold for pushing a career. This is not a “tragedy.” He may have squandered political capital that had been built by his father’s name, but it was not tragic any more than Hillary Clinton’s brother or Jimmy Carter’s brother were tragic.
