  1. My voting PRESENT suggestion is catching fire:

Rand Paul: We Should Let Dems Raise Taxes And Then Let Them Own It

    http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2012/12/06/sen_rand_paul_we_should_let_dems_raise_taxes_and_then_let_them_own_it.html

LET IT BURN! Give the majority of voters exactly what they voted for, a spend-tax-aholic Dem POTUS and Dem controlled Senate. Only when they feel the pain of their decision will they learn. Saying sorry, having second thoughts, belatedly recognizing the importance of the vote is not enough, elections have consequences. They need to experience the economic Depression they voted for, it should not be on us to keep them from experiencing their choices. NO MORE BAIL OUTS of any kind.

  2. I strongly disagree. This whole idea that we should just quit the fight in the hopes of some chancy symbolic victory down the road is horrible for many reasons.

    1. Once we allow it, it’ll likely become entrenched and there is no guarantee we can undue it.

    2. It won’t work because Obama voters won’t let him “own” it, they’ll just find a way to still blame everyone else. You don’t understand, these guys love Obama and would not ever think to blame him for anything.

    3. It gives Dems/libs a moral victory by it’s implicit agreement with the language and sentiments of libs.

    4. It’ll hurt many innocents in possibly very nasty ways.

    And many, many more reasons.

  3. I also think it’s likely that true tyranny (as opposed to the relatively slow devolution occurring now) could emerge from such an approach. Soft at first, the “progressively” worse.

  4. #2 & #3, the reality of the approach is that IF you prefer the inevitable slow devolution of this society where the majority is convinced by circular logic that its alright to ingest the poison of liberalism then there is no point in saving what is already lost by a soft pedaled acceptance. Devolution is the acceptance of the “new normal” over and over in small less deadly doses. The point of stepping aside and letting them ingest the liberal poison in a larger dose is to make the majority feel the excruciating pain of the end game.

IF the Republic is worth saving, i.e. the majority of voters, then they must consciously choose their destiny. Slow incremental devolution is merely the morphine of a dying patient. You can not save those who refuse to be saved. The Experiment in self governance stands or falls on the consensus to either be ruled as a nation of enslaved naive fools or a nation of free and brave survivors.

Yes, that means the rest of us, the minority, must accept our roots. Those roots are of our ancestors who voted with their feet to leave fetid dead end societies ruled by self serving elites for a new world. To be an American is to be a survivor who takes their fate in their own hands to build anew.

Yes, we as a nation are at the tipping point and we got here by the slow devolution of incrementalism. Yes, the outcome of tyranny or freedom is not certain. What is certain is there will be an outcome and our response to it. The fools will live as slaves and the survivors will vote with their feet to be free. I will not live as a fool.

  5. Herein lies the reason why we should let Obama burn:

Fed Exit Plan May Be Redrawn as Assets Near $3 Trillion

    http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2012-12-07/fed-exit-plan-may-be-redrawn-as-assets-near-3-trillion.html

The exit strategy is BASED on the economy recovering. You and I know that IF Obama had his way with allowing tax rates to return to Clinton era levels that the economy would go into Depression levels.

There is no middle ground here, either we allow Obama to have his way on taxes to have a Depression to wipe out ALL of the liberal poison or we allow Obama against his supposed will to have a “soft landing” by slashing spending to stay forever in a low growth economy as Japan as condemned itself to. The former will chastise the electorate for their foolishness of ingesting liberal poison, the latter will make poverty tolerable indefinitely.

  6. Bill Whittle nails it:

    Unserious People

It costs more to run this government than the entire #2 largest GDP, Communist China! 4 min 2 sec mark

  7. #4, I don’t prefer a slow devolution, I prefer fighting back and reversing devolution. Allowing Obama to continue to kill the country won’t work because at the end of it people will still shift the blame away from him and his far left policies.

#5, Not sure what your point about the Fed is or why what the Fed does should be the deciding factor in deciding to destroy the US, but at the end of the day none of your commentary addresses or rebuts my concerns about surrendering and there is no hard evidence that allowing Obama to have his way will change peoples minds and suddenly abandon liberalism en masse. People don’t work that way. Liberals will not repudiate liberalism. And the voters will simply deny reality and continue to call for the same poison. The sickness of liberalism will only be cured in many doses over many long periods of time. It will not go away with just one massive dose.
