Second, I want to touch on something Rush mentioned yesterday. Apparently the Senate Intelligence Committee (over the objections over most the Republicans on it) has approved some bloated report claiming “harsh” interrogation techniques on terrorists didn’t yield any useful information.
C’mon, it didn’t yield *any* good information? Not even a single bit of info? That is hard to believe.
Also, are we are supposed to take the word of a bunch of insulated bureaucratic desk jockeys over the word of all the people who actually were there that said it did yield valuable info and all the CIA memos and other evidence that also show it did?
I notice McCain is on the committee. I bet he is one of the Republicans who voted to approve. I lost all respect for McCain the day he decided to exploit his personal experiences with very real torture (instead of the left wing nonsensical notion of what is “torture”) to slander those trying to keep us safe by claiming they were engaged in the moral equivalent. He put politics and winning Brownie points from liberals above the well being of the American people and for that I have no use for him.

While guns are a significant factor in homicide, they represent (11406/16591) 68.7%. What about all the other means like knives and poison?
If you look at Table 7 you will see the death rates for each age group 5 – 14, gun violence doesn’t even rate the top 10. Auto accidents are the #1 killer of children followed by all other accidents.
