  1. COAST remains spiteful.

I got an email earlier this week from COASt whining about Jean Schmidt turning over constituent files and requests over to Rob Portman and Sherrod Brown instead of Super Patriot USA Brad… Contained the usual Bee Ess silliness that we have all come to expect from the Crazy COASTers.

Good luck getting to #7 conservative in that National Journal listing…..

  2. I don’t know much about Ohio politics and political groups (though I know much more than I ever wanted to due to this blog (grin)) so what is COAST anyway?

And is this Brad Wenstrup a trustworthy conservative?

  3. COAST is a good-government, fiscal conservative, anti-tax increase group which usually has good moments (tho others may think I’m being too kind).

  4. Great post Tom! And best wishes to Congresswoman Schmidt in her future endeavors.

You can be assured, should Wenstrup, cast votes on legislation like the disappointing failures from the 2010 class of Freshman from Ohio, he too will be called out. As will the cabal that helped with the premature departure of Congresswoman Schmidt.

  5. Jean sure voted conservative on the whole, and does deserve credit if it does hold. However, I was in the room when she fib’d to a large number of her precinct people and it wasn’t well received. That left a bad taste in many mouths, and perhaps led to Wenstrup’s victory and ground game in the primary. Coast may protest a bit too much when it comes to (insert anything) who they were representing at the time, but the facts were the facts in that case. The house ethics “watchdogs” are a cruel joke on the american people, for what that’s worth. Wenstrup has to measure up for certain, as the “cabal” that supported Jean won’t go quietly either. Plus his supporters are a fickle lot to begin with, otherwise Jean wouldn’t have lost her home county.
