  1. Good catch on the WSJ editorial. However, as you no doubt realize, the Journal now is under different ownership. That makes we wonder if an opinion published in 1984 actually represents the views on an editorial page that today operates in the Rupert Murdoch era. Murdoch is far different than the Journal’s former owners. He is an immigrant, having taken U.S. citizenship and giving up his Australian citizenship. So maybe he does favor open borders . . .

  2. #1, fair enough on change in management, which I want to say happened in ’08 or ’09.

    That said, the Journal, as far as I can tell has never published anything which would lead anyone to believe that they have backed off from “There shall be open borders.”
